January in Minnesota

On Saturday, we went to the indoor park in Edina. It's always tons of fun (for the children) and I love that they are a bit independent and like to make new friends, so generally between my freaking out to make sure all of my children are accounted for and not stolen by Chester A. Molester and pretending to be a put-together, calm, good mommy, I try to relax and enjoy myself.

Oh! And on the side, I spend over 30 minutes trying to reunite frightened 6 year old boys with their un-attentative, 20-something babysitters...

Photo Shoot

Over the weekend, I brought the children to Minnehaha Falls to have a brief photoshoot. I have been playing with the idea of putting the children in all white outfits all summer and finally got around to it. I was really happy with how the photos turned out -- given how uncooperative and CRABBY the children were. Enjoy my precious, darling wee ones.
For this photo, I had asked the children, "Who is ready to stop taking photos and go get ice cream at Dairy Queen?" To my surprise the children didn't just yell, "Me!", but raised their hands which caused E to laugh. I was quick to take the cute candid shot to capture their expressions. Love it!

Autumn

I love autumn weather. The cooler days and crisp evenings. Perfect for hours of NON-SWEATY, HUMIDITY-FREE amusement and horseplay at the park. Whoo-hoo!

Play Date

E had a play date on Wed with two friends (who are sisters) from her Brownie troop. It was tons of fun. We went to the kiddie, wading pool in Minneapolis -- lots of sun, swimming, playing on the park stuff, then enjoying more sun in the backyard with the sprinkler under the trampoline. Awesome times!

At first D wasn't too sure about the water. It was relatively mild MN summer day and the pool was chilly. He soon decided it was fun and sitting on the sidelines was just not cutting it.
On the opposite side of the spectrum was G. She had no fear and was the first one to dunk her face (albeit accidentally) under the water.
